چکیده

Protein tyrosine phosphatase interacting protein51 (PTPIP51) interacts both in vit ro and in v ivo withPTP1B, a protein tyrosine phosphatase involved in cellularregulation. PTPIP51 is known to be expressed in manydifferent types of tissues. It is involved in cellular processessuch as proliferation, differentiat ion and apoptosis. Never-theless, the exact cellular function of PTPIP51 is stillunknown. The present review summarizes our currentknowledge of the PTPIP51 gene and its mRNA and proteinstructure.
